design for
The Mirasol Project. Throughout this project
the ancient Andean culture has been an
amazing source of inspiration for me. Worship of the
sun was central to this culture as expressed in its
buildings and textiles so when designing the Mirasol symbol
the importance of the sun to the heritage of the ear,
combined with my own feelings about the sun as a source of
energy and light led me naturally to choose it as the motif
for the project.
I hope you enjoy knitting the designs,
perhaps adding your own personal touch, while knowing that
